Each State Winner, including the national winners, receives an appropriate book about honey bees, beekeeping, or honey.
Eligibility: Contest is open to active 4-H Club members only.Times or similar type style, following standard manuscript format. All authors of essays submitted to the national competition will receive a relevant book on honey bees, beekeeping or honey. The essay length should be to 1, words and will be judged on the scope of research, accuracy, creativity, conciseness and logic development of the topic. National winners will be announced by the week of May 7, Youth can only place first one time within an age category. Each state has unique honey varietals that beekeepers can market to their customers. The three national winners and the top winner of each state will receive a book about honey bees, beekeeping or honey. Contest is open to active 4-H club members only. National winning. Final judging and selection of the national winner will be made by the Federation's essay committee, whose decision will be final. No essay received after March 1st, will be considered.
